Pipe Crosses

Pipe crosses, also known as four-way fittings, have one inlet and three outlets and often feature solvent-welded socket, or female-threaded ends. The ends are positioned at 90-degree angles and the threads are designed to create a stable grip and secure connection to male pipe fittings.

4-Way Pipe Fitting Applications

4-way cross pipe fittings are used to connect pipes and change or control flow through a piping system. Cross pipe fittings may stress pipes as temperatures change due to their four-way nature. Because of this, pipe crosses are generally not used as plumbing hydraulic components. Instead, cross pipe fittings are more beneficial in situations where thermal expansion is not an issue, such as fire sprinkler systems and pneumatic applications.
